Jesus and My Family

Reflections of the King
When Solomon, the son of the great warrior king, David, first sat on the throne of God’s chosen nation, Israel, he asked God for wisdom (2 Chronicles 1v7-12), and became the wisest man in the world (1 Kings 4v29-34). He studied, taught, judged and wrote. Kings, queens, and leaders from other nations would come to him to learn and gain understanding and insight. Solomon, with his deep wisdom, royal title and vast wealth was in a unique position, unlike any who had come before him, or any who would follow, to try to unearth the meaning and purpose for our lives. It became his great quest, and he would spend his life trying to grasp the ultimate reason for life on earth. Sadly, most of his experiences and journeys would lead him to dead ends. Near the end of his life, Solomon, now an old, grandfatherly figure, would sit down and take stock of all he had seen and experienced, and, with an attitude of humility and repentance, share his learnings with the next generation. Join us as we study this intriguing and thought provoking book!
Serve & Change the World

Titus & Philemon • the making of leaders

Trending
We live in a 'post-Christian' Australia and there are a lot of current issues and trends that are controversial for a Christian to confront. Where do we stand? What is a Godly position to hold on these trends? How do we stand by our Biblical, Godly positions while trying not to alienate ourselves from a world which needs as much of Jesus as possible? Join us as we explore some of the major issues in our society and be challenged about how we can respond.
Elisha • A Tale of Ridiculous Faith
Elisha is one of the most fascinating people found in God’s Word. He was a prophet whose faith and miracles seem almost ridiculous. Few ‘replacements’ in Scripture were as effective as Elisha, who was Elijah’s successor as God’s prophet to Israel, the northern Kingdom. He had big shoes to fill, a farmer chosen to follow after the most famous and dramatic prophet in history. Elisha saw more in life than most of us because he recognised that, with God, there was always more than met the eye, and the miracles he performed put people in touch with the personal and all powerful God. His story will challenge and inspire our own faith if we allow it to!
I Believe

The Jesus Plan
Was God making things up along the way as history progressed, or was there a plan right from the beginning to bring humanity back into relationship with Him? This series will show that God had a plan, and He deliberately and relentlessly pursued a relationship with His people, because of His great love. This plan was just, it was compassionate, and it was unique. This is what sets Christianity apart from every other religion.
Titus • A letter to a leader
People flocked to hear Paul’s teaching. Educated, articulate, motivated and filled with the Holy Spirit, this man of faith brought news of Jesus to the entire Roman Empire - lives were changed, communities transformed and churches were built. But Paul also understood that the Church must be built on Christ, not on a man. And he knew that, eventually, he wouldn’t be around anymore to build, encourage, nurture and teach. So he trained others to assume leadership within the Church, and he urged them to centre their lives and their teaching on the Word of God, and, in turn, to train others to carry on the ministry. This three-part series on Titus is entitled, ‘A Letter to a Leader’. If you’re someone who doesn’t currently hold a formalised leadership position, whether at work, at church or in the family, please don’t be tempted to think this letter isn’t also for you. It is. The lessons we’ll learn through this letter are important to everyone because everyone, in one way or another, has influence over other people, through their friendship circles, within their family or at work. We need to be aware of this, and consider where we do have influence, and nurture a desire to become more godly in our influence.
